JOURNAL POST | 19.04.17 | HAPPINESS – HOW DO WE CREATE IT?

I hear it all the time, health and happiness is the key to living a fulfilling life. But what does this mean for you and how do we create a life of happiness and health?

The best thing about this is that we are all unique so our path to better health and happiness is determined by you and you alone.

Every day we make choices that will either support us to be our best self or take a little something from us taking us in the other direction. I wholeheartedly believe that living a healthy wholesome life is about establishing habits that you are able and willing to maintain for life.

For one moment, stop, think and reflect about what you are doing now?

Is it sustainable for life?

Is it really making you happy?

Is your mind, body and soul thanking you for it?

Life is about living, thriving and blossoming right?

Finding a balance that works for you is absolutely crucial, you are you and no one is you’er than you!!! Have you ever thought about leaving behind all the new diets, trends, limiting beliefs, stepping outside the ‘norm’  and simply living a life that aligns with your truth and values and ultimately makes you happy.

This really excites me as you can take complete ownership over what helps you be your best self, this is different for everyone so let’s leave behind the mentality of thinking if it works for her why won’t it work for me? It really is time to do what is right and feels good for you.

So where do I start I hear you say?

I find sitting down to take a moment to think about where I am achieving balance and where I am feeling fulfilled and the areas where I am not feeling my happiest is a great start, I like to put it on paper so I can clearly see where parts of my life are that little bit out of balance.

Are you feeling connected with your relationships, are you giving and receiving love, connection and support?

Is your career fulfilling you? If not, what can you do to create more fulfilment?

Are you moving your body in a way that makes you feel great? Daily exercise is not only essential for maintaining a healthy body but also has an incredible impact on our overall health. Exercise is not a form of punishment, exercise is a time to celebrate what your body can do and what makes it feel alive.

Do you have a spiritual practice? The word spiritual can be quite frightening for some, establishing a practice can be simply scheduling some ‘me time’ every day to check in with your inner self.

How do you fuel your body daily? Do you consume nutrient dense foods that leave you feeling satisfied and energised?

Once you have established where in your life you need to focus your love and attention a little more you can set your intentions and small steps to reach your goals. Creating the ultimate balance leaving you feeling fulfilled in all areas.
